The Canopy

On 28th February 2026, our Grassroot Advisor, Mr Edward Chia, officially launched our refreshed canteen space (now known as the Canopy). Beyond recess, the space encourages students to gather, collaborate on group work, and engage in informal learning conversations.

I learnt that the opening of the school canteen, the Canopy, was not just about food but also about sustainability, responsibility, and community. It showed me how small actions such as reducing waste and choosing better options can help the environment and improve the school experience for everyone in meaningful ways.

My school’s newly renovated canteen, The Canopy, feels vibrant and welcoming. The improved seating, cleaner layout, and wider food choices make breaks more enjoyable. It definitely encourages students to relax and connect. Overall, the upgrade creates a more comfortable environment that positively impacts our daily school experience.
