Outdoor Education: Character & Leadership Development
At Zhenghua Secondary School, our Learning for Life Programme (LLP) in
Outdoor Education provides students with authentic learning experiences
beyond the classroom. Through progressively challenging outdoor activities,
students develop resilience, leadership, teamwork and environmental responsibility
while building confidence and a spirit of adventure.
Bringing Our Vision and Mission to Life
Each outdoor learning experience is designed to nurture character, inspire
excellence, and develop Principled Leaders, Passionate Learners and Gracious
Citizens.
-
Principled Leadership Through Ownership
Outdoor experiences encourage students to take ownership by planning routes, making safety decisions and leading their peers with empathy, integrity and sound judgement. -
Passionate Learning Through Practical Mastery
Outdoor education equips students with practical skills in navigation, trip planning, outdoor cooking and shelter building, developing confidence and problem-solving abilities. -
Gracious Citizenship and Environmental Stewardship
Secondary 1 Inter-Disciplinary Trails immerse students in Singapore's historically significant blue and green spaces, fostering a sense of place, appreciation of local heritage and environmental responsibility.
