Programme Highlights and Enrichment Activities
|
This year, our students truly embraced science as a systematic way of understanding the world. In our labs, they engaged in inquiry-based learning and used their Personal Learning Devices (PLDs) to explore and uncover scientific concepts independently. A highlight was the Lower Secondary Science Projects, where students researched renowned scientists and advocated for healthcare and environmental sustainability through creative drama presentations. Beyond the classroom, students had numerous opportunities to deepen their learning. They gained hands-on experience in genetic engineering during the DNA Bacterial Transformation Workshop, explored how STEM drives innovation across industries, and visited the NKF Kidney Discovery Centre to learn about kidney health. To cap off an inspiring year, a team of Secondary 2 students took part in the Youth STEM Empowerment Programme, designing HandyPal—a smart walking aid for the elderly. These experiences nurtured curiosity, resilience, and a passion for transdisciplinary learning. |
