Programmes Highlights and Enrichment Activities

The Mother Tongue Languages department continued to bring the joy of learning to our students, who brought it to life, experiencing it as a language that grows with them, deeply connected to their roots and real-world moments, used confidently in daily life. Through engaging project work, exciting learning journeys, and vibrant cultural festivities, students experienced applied learnings that went beyond the classroom. From celebrating Chinese New Year and Hari Raya to exploring traditional arts and stories, each activity deepened students’ appreciation of their heritage.

Students reflected that these experiences made them “learn well while having fun” and helped them see the beauty of their mother tongue in action. By connecting lessons to real-world contexts and cultural traditions, we nurtured a love for both the Malay Language and Chinese Language, building strong lifelong connections to language, culture, and identity.
