In Zhenghua Secondary, we envision every student in the school to be Dynamic Learners, Exemplary Leaders and Thoughtful Contributors. We create ample opportunities for our students to develop their leadership competencies and take on leadership roles through CCA and other school signature programmes. Students who join us through DSA will have the opportunities to further develop their talent areas under the guidance of our dedicated teachers, experienced instructors, and enjoy the camaraderie of committed peers. Prospective students can also look forward to representing the school in competitions, performances and overseas trips.

Talent areas offered

Zhenghua Secondary welcomes promising Primary 6 students with strong leadership attributes and of exemplary conduct to participate in the school’s 2025 Direct School Admission (DSA) exercise for admission to the 2026 Secondary One intake.

Zhenghua will be offering DSA places for boys and girls in the following talent areas:

DSA Selection Criteria and Process

In general, we are looking for students who are passionate, positive and have the potential to excel in their respective talent areas to join the school.

Leadership – Student Council	Students will be given a choice to select their CCA.	Applicants should demonstrate all or some of the following in their respective talent areas, - a keen interest and passion - potential and aptitude to excel - positive attitude towards learning - positive demeanour and behaviour with exemplary conduct	Every shortlisted applicant will have to complete a performance task in the selected talent area and go through an interview.

Please note that meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.

Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.

DSA-Sec Application Process:

Application for DSA-Sec can be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal. The application is free-of-charge and will be open from 7 May 2025, 11am to 3 June 2025, 3pm.

Below is the brief timeline for the whole application process.

Jan to May	Parents and students explore preferred schools for DSA.
Wednesday, 7 May 2025 to Tuesday 3 June 2025	Submission of your child's application online through the DSA-Sec Portal by 3pm on Tuesday, 3 June 2025.
By Friday, 18 July 2025	Applicants will be notified by this date if they are shortlisted to attend interview and selection session conducted by the school.
18 July 2025 to 4 September 2025	We will inform all applicants their interview and selection dates once we process all the applications.
25 August 2025 to 4 September 2025	All applicants, including those not shortlisted, will be informed of their application outcome. Selected students will receive DSA-Sec offers directly from schools by these dates.
27 to 31 October 2025	Applicants to choose up to 3 school choices in order of preference via the DSA-Sec portal by 3pm on Friday, 31 October 2025.
Late Nov	Applicants will receive school allocation along with PSLE results.

Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.

Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1-4 in Zhenghua Secondary.
