The Zhenghua Handbells Ensemble offers students a unique musical experience that nurtures both technical skills and personal growth. Under the guidance of the Handbells instructor, Mr Myren Mak, students learn to read music, develop rhythm, and coordinate precise movements, as each bell contributes to the harmony of the group. This fosters teamwork and cooperation, as every member plays an essential role in playing a complete song. Students also cultivate discipline, focus, and perseverance while gaining confidence through weekly CCA practices and public performances such as the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation. Beyond music, the Handbell Ensemble builds camaraderie and a strong sense of belonging. Overall, the Handbells Ensemble enriches students holistically, supporting their growth into well-rounded, confident, and collaborative individuals.
