Alumni Accolades

At the start of my leadership journey at Zhenghua, I was nervous about stepping up and anxious about how others would perceive me. However, through the guidance of my teachers and encouragement from my friends, my confidence grew. The leadership opportunities in project work, Student Council, and my CCA shaped me into a more independent and confident leader.

At Zhenghua, I was given many opportunities that pushed me beyond my limits and helped me realise my potential. With strong support and guidance, I became the Handbell Vice-Chairperson, performed well in my O Levels, and even received a national award. Despite being an introvert, I stepped out of my comfort zone and grew in confidence.

When I entered Zhenghua, I struggled to reach out and talk to the people around me. During orientation, I kept to myself and largely avoided interacting with my classmates. However, over the course of five years, with the support of the school counsellors, teachers, and year heads, I gradually became more confident in speaking to others and overcame my fear of social interaction.

I was given the opportunity to serve as a Student Leader after my teachers saw potential in me. Through training and encouragement from my teachers and peers, I began to discover my strengths and develop my leadership skills. This experience helped me grow in confidence and learn to lead both myself and others.
